A client in the energy services industry required a replacement switch cover for use aboard deep-sea vessels. With equipment deployed globally and operations depending on reliable field-ready components, speed and accuracy were critical.
Working from a photograph of an existing part, mēkā took ownership of the design, prototyping and production process. Through rapid iteration, we developed and tested two prototype versions before arriving at a final design approved for deployment—all within two weeks.
Following approval, Mēkā manufactured and delivered 100 production units using Multi Jet Fusion (MJF) 3D printing. The components were shipped directly to vessels operating around the world, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
