mēkā took responsibility for industrial design, mechanical design and batch assembly to help the client build on their early successes.
A Series-A funded agri-tech startup approached mēkā to develop the second generation of an innovative analysis device used to help agribusinesses make better buying and selling decisions.
Rather than immediately redesigning the product, we began by understanding how it was being used in the field. Through user research, workflow analysis and customer feedback, we identified key pain points and opportunities for improvement. This user-centered approach enabled us to rethink the product experience from the ground up.
Working closely with the client, mēkā led the industrial design, mechanical engineering and electronics development of the new device. Through rapid prototyping and iterative testing, we refined user interactions, improved workflows and validated key design decisions before moving into production.
Following successful prototyping, we supported small-batch manufacturing, assembly and testing to accelerate market deployment. Today, the product continues to evolve, with final assembly and early-stage testing conducted in-house at mēkā to ensure quality and performance.
By bringing research, design, engineering and production together under one team, we helped transform customer feedback into a manufacturable product ready for real-world deployment.
